Costa Rican waters rank among the Pacific Ocean’s best when it comes to fishing. Whether you’re a first time angler or an experienced fisherman, you’ll find an abundance of fish waiting for your line.

Step aboard this roomy, well-appointed boat for an exhilarating full day sport fishing adventure. Guancaste’s world-class off shore fishing grounds are located just 10-15 nautical miles from land and with this Grady-White 27′ watercraft powered by twin 150 hp Yamaha engines, you’ll arrive at the fishing grounds quickly and in comfort. Your experienced local captain knows these waters well and will provide knowledge and assistance to ensure your day on the water is an exciting, memorable experience.

This full day charter will take out to deeper waters where the “big game” live. Sailfish and marlin are the most sought-after of all game fish and have been known to put up a fight for several hours. With lengths of 8-15 feet and weights between 500 and 1,200 pounds, there will be no mistaking when you’ve got one on the line! Once you’ve landed your billfish, there’s time for a photo (to prove you’re not telling just another “fish story”) before returning it back to the sea to fight another day.

Of course, there are many smaller species in these waters too. Amberjack, mackerel, snapper. roosterfish, wahoo, tuna and bonito are all plentiful and odds are, you’ll soon have a strike and a bit of action ahead of you.

If your goal is to experience the thrill of the fight, you might choose to practice catch and release. Except for billfish and roosterfish, if you prefer, you’re welcome to take your catch back home for a delicious meal.
